Holiday! Yes, that’s right. I’m going away for two weeks and I won’t be able to answer any messages during this time. See ya’!
Be well and may the Force be with you!

The Neck or Näcken in Swedish is my new painting.
The background story: The Neck, Näcken is a male water spirits who played enchanted songs on the violin, luring women and children to drown in lakes or streams. In some legends he plays totally naked and in others he wears more or less elegant clothes. He is a shapeshifter, but almost always described as very attractive.
If you brought the neck a treat of three drops of blood, a black animal, some brännvin (Scandinavian vodka) or snus (wet snuff) dropped into the water, he would teach you his enchanting form of music.
He was thought to be most active during Midsummer’s Night, on Christmas Eve and on Thursdays.
I used a stock photo from nobledeath-stock as reference for the neck. Photoshop CS2+wacom graphire 4 tablet. You can see a larger version in the gallery and also a closeup image.
Newborn, here’s another glimpse of what I’m working on, 90 % finished. It was originally meant for a contest, but I missed the deadline due to our housebuilding, so…
(Our new house is supposed to be finished in the middle of December and still there are many urgent decisions to make.)
I know, you want to see some finished work and not w.i.ps’, I’ll get there, I’m kid free tomorrow, so I’ll spend the entire day in front of the computer, with some minutes off for making really fresh coffee, of course. Yes, I bought a coffee grinder, wow, what a difference with real beans!
Be well, all!
Hello! I’m currently fixing odds & ends on the site, changing the gallery and writing missing information, I hope I’ll be finished by tomorrow, so I can paint at least one personal piece, before vacation. I have so many unfinished paintings now… Anyway, here’s a rough sketch, part of one of the w.i.p.s’.
Maria out.
Character study, speed painted, 3 hours or so. This little fellow is not that bad that one might think. He’s very shy, not all evil, just misunderstood and is in love with a crimson butterfly. A passionate, fatal love (for the butterfly that is)… Bigger version in the gallery.
Otherwise, things are very much slow, I can’t get rid of this terrible cough, can’t sleep and it makes my head thick… I’m having absurde thoughts (more than usual). I need to see a doctor.
Be well!
